International PhD Students Program for Biomedical Majors (English Edition)

(A) Goals
To cultivate people with rich humanities, generous natural science foundation, a solid knowledge of Biomedical Science and Technology, a strong sense of innovation, a broad international perspective, integration of knowledge, ability, quality and harmonious development of an ideal and aspiring innovation talent.
(B) The Basic Requirements
Biomedical Science Ph.D. graduates should meet the following requirements of knowledge, ability and quality:
1. Knowledge Structure Requirements
To be proficient in using foreign language reading journals and literature retrieval, have better ability to communicate and write in foreign languages; To understand humanities and social sciences extensively; To master comparatively solid basic knowledge in Physics and Chemistry, To be good at computer and information science and other basic knowledge; grasp a solid basic theory of Biological Sciences, basic knowledge and basic skills, compulsory and elective courses by more systematic professional theory and professional skills training.
2. Capacity Structure Requirements
Has the ability to take the initiative to acquire knowledge; to be comprehensive application of the theoretical knowledge and skills, engaged in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology and related fields of scientific research ability; has a strong scientific interest and critical thinking ability.
3. Quality Structure Requirements
Have a higher ideological and moral qualities and cultural qualities. Has a strong sense of social responsibility, a sound personality and a strong sense of team; have a good professional quality, subject to rigorous scientific thinking training, master a solid basic theory of Biological Science and research methods, realistic and innovative awareness and spirit of health; Have a healthy body and good psychological quality.
(C) Academic System and Degree Award
Academic system: PhD system for three years, in accordance with the credit system management mechanism, the implementation of flexible learning years.
Degree awarded: Ph.D. in Biosciences.
(D) Basic Credit Hours
The total credits for training is 65, of which the spring and autumn semester courses total credit is 40 credits; summer semester practice session 10 credits, integrated essay training 15 credits.
(E) Professional Core Courses 5, 15 credits
Biochemistry (3 credits), Cell Biology (3 credits), Molecular Biology (3 credits), Immunology (3 credits), Genetics (3 credits).
